The App Works With No Bars

Basements, elevator lobbies, parking garages. The KeyBolt app is built for it. Your jobs are copied onto the phone, so they open with no signal at all.

What Still Works Offline

• Open a job and read it. For a job dispatched to you, the customer name, phone, and address come with it.
• Move the job forward and mark it complete. The button reads Complete job offline so you know it saved on the phone.
• Write tech notes.
• Take photos. They sit on the phone and upload themselves the moment you get a bar. You do not have to remember to do anything.
• Log the parts you used.

Everything you do offline is queued in order and sent up as soon as you reconnect.

What Needs a Connection

Money is never stored on the phone. That is on purpose: a lost phone must not be a leaked bill. So these need internet:

• Bills, estimates, and taking a payment. Editing a bill tells you "No connection. Editing the bill needs internet."
• The Customers tab. It tells you "No connection. Customers need internet." The customer details on a job you already have are still there offline.
• Conversations in the Inbox and the Activity log.
• A key code you have not unlocked recently. See Seeing Key Codes in the Field.

Which Jobs Are on the Phone

Your own work. A tech gets the jobs dispatched to them, plus jobs they were added to as a helper and conversations they are active on. Owners, managers, and dispatchers get the whole shop.

Customer details ride along with the jobs dispatched to you. A job you are only helping on comes down without the customer record, so open that one while you have signal.
