Set Up Your Shop's Job Lists
The Create Job form uses your shop's own Job types, Service areas, Ad sources, and External companies. The owner manages them in Settings > Job lists.
What Each List Is For
- Job types: the kind of work, such as rekey, safe service, or garage door repair.
- Service areas: the city, county, or territory your shop uses to group jobs.
- Ad sources: how the customer found you.
- External companies: a partner or company that sent you the work.
Add, Rename, or Remove a Choice
Open Job lists, choose the list, and add a name. Use a row's rename or remove control to change it. Removing a choice takes it out of the active picker while preserving its use on older work. Removed choices can be restored.
When you have permission, a job form's picker also lets you add a missing choice as you work. A list entry is a label, not a price or a schedule.
Job Types and Service Templates
A job type describes the work. A service template supplies starting charges and duration. You can pick either without the other. See Manage Job Templates and Create a New Job.
