Codes Are Locked Until You Ask

Key codes, bitting, and safe combinations are never sitting in the open on a phone. In the KeyBolt app they stay hidden on the job until you tap to reveal them.

Every reveal checks your face or fingerprint first. Not a recent unlock, an actual check, every single time.

Once revealed, the code stays on screen for 90 seconds and then hides itself again. Tap to reveal it again the same way.

It Works With No Signal

The phone holds a sealed copy of the codes for the jobs you are dispatched to, and that copy lasts 48 hours from the last time the phone had a connection. Open the app in the driveway before you head into a basement and you are covered for two days.

After 48 hours with no connection, revealing a code needs a bar of signal again.

Whose Codes You Can See

• Techs get codes for a customer whose work is actually theirs: a live job dispatched to them, or a conversation they are active on. Being added as a helper on someone else's job does not include the codes.
• Owners, managers, and dispatchers can see codes across the shop.

A job that is completed, cancelled, or already billed drops off the phone 90 days after it was created. Open jobs stay however old they are.

Why It Is Built This Way

A key code is a working key. If a van gets broken into and a phone walks off, the thief has a locked phone with nothing readable on it. The master key that unscrambles this data never leaves KeyBolt's servers, so the phone on its own cannot read anything.
