The KeyBolt App for iPhone, iPad, and Android

Getting the App

KeyBolt has a free app for iPhone, iPad, and Android. On an iPhone or iPad, open the App Store. On an Android phone, open Google Play. Search for KeyBolt Mobile. On your home screen it shows up as KeyBolt.

Sign in with the same email and password you use on the website. There is no separate account and nothing extra to buy.

It is the same app on both. Your jobs, customers, photos, and key codes are the same shop, whichever phone your crew carries.

The Five Tabs

Along the bottom of the screen:

• Today, your day at a glance.
• Jobs, your job list. A badge appears here when a job is dispatched to you.
• Inbox, the same Colabs you see on the website. A badge shows unread conversations.
• Customers, your customer records.
• More, everything else.

Tapping a tab you are already on takes you back to the top of that tab's list.

What Lives Under More

Tap More for Map, Time Clock, Estimates, Inventory, Invoices, Orders, Reports, Team, Google LSA, Activity, and Settings. Your account, security, app version, and sign out are on that screen too.

You only see the areas your role can open, so nothing dead-ends. A tech sees Map, Time Clock, Estimates, and Inventory. An owner sees all of them. See Manage Your Team for what each role can do.

Taking Cards on the Phone

An iPhone can take a card in person with Tap to Pay on iPhone, no reader needed. See Take Cards on Your iPhone.

Tap to Pay is not on Android yet. On an Android phone, send the customer a bill to pay by card, or take payment another way and record it on the bill.

What Is Different on Android

Nearly everything works the same. Three things do not:

• Tap to Pay is iPhone only, as above.
• Changing your plan is not in the Android app. Do it on the website under Settings.
• Buying extra AI chats is not in the Android app either. Buy them on the website.

Calling a customer works on both. KeyBolt sets up the call and hands it to your phone's own dialer, so the customer still sees your shop number.

Working With No Signal

Your jobs are copied onto the phone, so they open in a basement with no bars. See Using the App With No Signal.

On an iPad

The same app runs on iPad. On a wide screen the tabs move to a rail down the left side, and on a big iPad you get the list and the detail side by side. Tap to Pay is an iPhone-only feature, so on an iPad you send the customer a bill instead.
