Choose How to Get Paid
Open a job or bill and choose Get paid. Review the remaining balance and pick how the customer is paying. The options depend on your payment provider, device, permissions, and whether the bill still has money owing.
Take a Card Now
- Card reader: a supported WiFi reader from the web app. See Accept In-Person Card Payments.
- Tap to Pay on iPhone: use the native KeyBolt app on a supported iPhone, without a reader. It is not available in a browser, on iPad, or on Android. See Take Cards on Your iPhone.
- Type in card: for Stripe shops in a browser. See Type In a Customer's Card.
The native iPhone app does not support Bluetooth card readers. Android and iPad users can send a bill for the customer to pay online or record a payment received another way.
Record Money You Already Received
Choose Cash or check to record cash, a check, or a payment collected elsewhere. Pick the actual method and amount. Recording a Stripe or Square payment here does not charge a card through that provider. See Record Partial Payments.
Let the Customer Pay Online
Send the bill with its payment link. Check the amount before resending after a manual partial payment; an existing link can still ask for the original total. See Send an Invoice.
Confirm the Result and Send a Receipt
Wait for a clear payment result. If the screen is uncertain or the bill has not updated, check its payment history and provider record before starting another charge. Once the bill is fully paid, use Send Receipt.
