Connect Stripe Payments

Getting Paid Starts Here

Stripe lets customers pay your KeyBolt bills online and supports card payments in person. Complete the setup for your shop, then check that payment processing is connected before collecting a card payment. Stripe sends payouts to the bank account you provide on your account's payout schedule.

KeyBolt checks every new shop before switching card payments on. If you tap Connect and see a note saying card payments aren't switched on for your shop yet, that is the review, not a problem with your account. We email you as soon as it clears. Skip this step for now and come back to Settings > Payments when you hear from us.

Setting Up During Onboarding

When you first sign up for KeyBolt, the onboarding wizard walks you through it at Step 4: Payments. Tap "Connect with Stripe" and a new tab will open with Stripe's secure setup page. Complete the following steps there:

1. Enter your business information (legal name, EIN or SSN, business type).
2. Provide your bank account details for receiving payouts.
3. Verify your identity with a government-issued ID.

After completing Stripe's setup, return to KeyBolt and choose "I've Finished Setup" to check the connection. If it is incomplete, open Stripe setup again and finish the information it requests. Verification time can vary; use the connection status rather than assuming card payments are ready.

Setting Up from Settings

If you skipped Stripe setup during onboarding, you can connect anytime:

1. Go to Settings > Payments.
2. Tap "Connect Bank Account".
3. A new tab opens with the Stripe Connect onboarding flow. Complete the steps and return to KeyBolt.
4. KeyBolt checks your connection status automatically. Once verified, you'll see a green "Connected" badge.

How Money Flows

• You send an invoice from KeyBolt.
• Customer pays on your own KeyBolt bill page, using a card form run by Stripe.
• Stripe processes the payment and pays out according to your account's payout schedule. A first payout or a review can take longer.
• Stripe deducts the applicable processing fee. Check your Stripe agreement and current Stripe pricing.
• KeyBolt takes no cut of your payments. Your KeyBolt plan is your only cost from us: $99 a month on Basic, $189 a month on KeyBolt Pro.
