Connect Stripe Payments

Getting Paid Starts Here

Stripe is how your customers pay you through KeyBolt. Connecting your Stripe account is a one-time setup that takes about five minutes. Once connected, every invoice you send includes a secure payment link that deposits money directly into your bank account.

KeyBolt checks every new shop before switching card payments on. If you tap Connect and see a note saying card payments aren't switched on for your shop yet, that is the review, not a problem with your account. We email you as soon as it clears. Skip this step for now and come back to Settings > Payments when you hear from us.

Setting Up During Onboarding

When you first sign up for KeyBolt, the onboarding wizard walks you through it at Step 4: Connect Your Bank Account. Tap "Connect with Stripe" and a new tab will open with Stripe's secure setup page. Complete the following steps there:

1. Enter your business information (legal name, EIN or SSN, business type).
2. Provide your bank account details for receiving payouts.
3. Verify your identity with a government-issued ID.

Once you've completed the Stripe setup, return to KeyBolt and click "I've Finished Setup" to confirm the connection. Stripe verifies your info (usually instant, sometimes up to 24 hours), and then your account is live and ready to accept payments.

Setting Up from Settings

If you skipped Stripe setup during onboarding, you can connect anytime:

1. Go to Settings > Payments.
2. Tap "Connect Bank Account".
3. A new tab opens with the Stripe Connect onboarding flow. Complete the steps and return to KeyBolt.
4. KeyBolt checks your connection status automatically. Once verified, you'll see a green "Connected" badge.

How Money Flows

• You send an invoice from KeyBolt.
• Customer pays on your own KeyBolt bill page, using a card form run by Stripe.
• Stripe processes the payment and deposits funds into your bank account (typically 2 business days).
• Stripe deducts its processing fee (2.9% + 30 cents) before the deposit.
• KeyBolt takes no cut of your payments. Your KeyBolt plan is your only cost from us: $99 a month on Basic, $189 a month on KeyBolt Pro.
