Take Cash App, Venmo and Zelle
KeyBolt can hold your Cash App $cashtag, your Venmo handle, and your Zelle email or phone. When you go to record a payment on a bill, KeyBolt shows them to you so the customer can pay you on the spot. These are tools for you in the field. Your customer's online bill page still offers card and Cash App Pay only.
Saving Your Handles
- Go to Settings > Payments and open the Payment methods tab.
- Type in your Cash App $cashtag, your Venmo handle, and your Zelle email or phone.
- Each one has its own on and off switch, so you can save a handle and keep it hidden until you want it.
Only the shop owner or a manager can change these, and they are stored encrypted.
Using Them on a Job
- Open the bill and tap Record Payment.
- Open Payment QR codes.
- Show the customer the one they use.
- Once they have paid you, fill in the form underneath: pick Venmo, Zelle or Cash App as the method, enter the amount, and tap Record.
KeyBolt does not find out about these payments on its own. The bill stays unpaid until you record it.
What Each One Looks Like
- Cash App and Venmo get a QR code with the amount and a memo already filled in. On a phone you get a Pay through button instead of the QR, because you can't scan a code with the phone you are holding.
- Zelle has no QR and no button. Every bank runs Zelle through its own app, so KeyBolt shows your handle and the memo, and you tap either one to copy it. Read the amount off the card and have the customer type it in.
Cash App Pay Is Different
Cash App Pay runs through Stripe and shows up as a choice on the customer's online bill, next to the card form. It confirms itself when the money lands, so there is nothing for you to record.
- Connect Stripe first. See Set Up Stripe Payments.
- In Settings > Payments > Payment methods, tap Enable Cash App Pay.
- Stripe reviews it, usually in a few minutes, and KeyBolt switches it on for you.
Stripe suggests Cash App Pay for bills under $2,000. There is a switch to turn it off again without giving up the Stripe capability.
