Send a Call to an Outside Tech
Can't cover a job? Pass the call to a locksmith outside your shop. KeyBolt makes a private link to one call. You send it from your own phone. They listen, call the customer, and tap Accept, I can't take it, or Job is done. Their answer shows up on the Colab. They do not need KeyBolt or a login. This is a KeyBolt Pro feature for owners, managers, and dispatchers.
Send the Call
- Open the Colab and find the call.
- Tap Send to outside tech.
- Type who you are sending it to, for example "Joe, Brooklyn". Only your team sees this name.
- Add a note if you want, for example "Car lockout, customer is waiting".
- Pick what to include: the customer's name and phone number, the transcript, and the address. The recording is always included when there is one.
- Tap Make link, then Copy link (or Share on a phone) and text it to them.
KeyBolt never texts the link for you. It goes from your own phone, so the person knows it came from you.
What They See
The link opens a simple page with your shop name, your note, the recording, the transcript, and the customer's name, phone number, and address (only the items you picked). It is a copy made when you sent it. New messages on the Colab never show up there.
How Their Answer Comes Back
Each tap adds a line to the Colab timeline, for example "Joe accepted the job" or "Joe marked the job done". You also get a notification. When they mark the job done they can add a note, like what they charged. The Colab stays open until you close it.
Under the call you can see each link you sent and where it stands: waiting, opened, accepted, can't take it, or done.
Turn a Link Off or Make a New One
A link works for 7 days. Under the call, tap Turn off link to stop it right away. Tap New link if you lost it or need to send it again. The old link stops working and the new one works for another 7 days.
