Copy Another Person on an Email

Use Cc on a Colab's email reply to include another person, such as accounts payable, while replying to the original contact. Branded email is included on both plans; your role must be able to reply.

Choose To and Cc

  1. Open the Colab and choose Email.
  2. Check To for the person who should receive the reply.
  3. Open Cc and choose the additional people from the allowed recipient list.
  4. Review the subject, message, attachments, and every recipient before sending.

Cc uses saved customer addresses and people already on the email thread; it is not a free-text address field. For a new Cc address, save it on the customer's record first when your role allows it, then reopen or refresh the Colab's recipient choices. The composer's Use a different address option sends that reply to the typed address as To; it does not add a new Cc before sending. Cc addresses are visible to the other recipients. Use an internal note for information meant only for your crew. Check the recipient list again on later replies instead of assuming everyone is still included.

Cc Does Not Change the Customer or Payer

Copying an email recipient does not make them a Colab collaborator, a customer contact, or the default bill payer. Save their contact record or change the customer's billing choice separately when appropriate.

See Reply, Add Notes, Photos, and Files in a Colab and Choose Who Gets a Customer's Bills.
