Restock a Van
Load the Van Without a Clipboard
A restock template says what a van should carry. Save it once and KeyBolt works out what is short every week after that, then builds the transfer for you. Find it at Inventory, then Operations, then Van restock.
Owners, managers, and dispatchers can create and edit a template. A tech can run the transfer. This is on both plans, Basic and KeyBolt Pro.
Making a Template
- Go to Inventory, then Operations, then Van restock.
- Tap New template.
- Fill in:
- Template name, something plain like "Restock Van 2".
- Source, where the stock comes from. Usually the shop.
- Destination, the van. It has to be a different location from the source.
- Add each item this van should carry and the number it should carry. That number is the target, not an order quantity.
- Save.
Running It
Open the template and KeyBolt shows a proposal: only the items the van is short of, and only the difference. Nothing moves until you create the transfer from that proposal. Then pick how it moves:
- Move now, if you are loading the van yourself.
- Hand off, if the tech will confirm at their end. The stock sits in In transit until they do.
More Than One Van
Keep a template per van. They line up along the top and you tap between them. To stop using one without losing it, turn it off rather than deleting it. It shows as (inactive) and its history stays put.
