Call Recordings, Transcripts and Summaries
Where Your Recordings Live
Every call that comes in to your KeyBolt line is recorded from the moment it is picked up, voicemails and AI calls included. The recording, a written transcript, and a short AI summary all show up on that call's entry in your Inbox, on the customer's Colab. Press play, or read the transcript instead when you are somewhere you cannot listen.
Keep Recordings Past 30 Days
- Tap Phone & SMS in the left sidebar, then the Call flow tab.
- Scroll to the Keep recordings card.
- Turn on Save recordings automatically.
KeyBolt then copies every recording into your own account a few days before the carrier deletes it, so you never lose one. Saved recordings count toward your storage: 25 GB on Basic, 50 GB on KeyBolt Pro. Check what is using space in Settings > Subscription.
Tell Callers They Are Being Recorded
The greeting at the top of your call flow starts as a recording notice, and it plays before anything else on the call. Leave it in. Some states require both sides of a call to be told. See Choose What Happens When Your Shop Rings to edit it.
Transcripts and Summaries Need AI Turned On
The audio recording works on its own. The written transcript and the AI summary do not: your shop has to allow AI features first, in Settings on the AI tab. Without that you get the recording and no text, and nothing on the call says why.
What Recordings Are Good For
- Checking an address or a gate code nobody wrote down.
- Settling a disagreement about what was quoted.
- Hearing how a new tech handles a lockout call.
