Usage Limits
What's Included in Your Plan
The KeyBolt $59/month plan includes generous limits designed to cover most small locksmith shops:
- 5 team members — owner plus up to 4 techs or dispatchers.
- 750 emails/month — invoice sends, reminders, estimate emails, and payment receipts.
- 400 SMS/month — "On My Way" texts, invoice delivery via SMS, and payment confirmations.
- 5 GB storage — for uploaded documents, job photos, and attachments.
Jobs, customers, invoices, and estimates are unlimited — there's no cap on how many records you can create.
Checking Your Current Usage
Go to Settings > Subscription to view your current usage. Each limit is displayed with a progress bar showing how much you've used this billing cycle. You'll see the count and the percentage at a glance — for example, "467 / 750 emails used (62%)".
Monthly Resets
Email and SMS limits reset on the 1st of each month, regardless of when your billing cycle started. Storage and team member limits do not reset — they apply continuously.
What Happens When You Hit a Limit
When a limit is reached, the action is blocked and you'll see a message explaining why. For example, if you've used all 750 emails, attempting to send an invoice via email will show a notice that your email limit has been reached for the month. The invoice is still created — it just isn't emailed until the limit resets.
You won't be charged overage fees. If you consistently need more than the included limits, contact support@keybolt.tech to discuss options.
Storage Limit
The 5 GB storage limit applies to all uploaded files — job photos, document attachments, and customer files. To check what's using your storage, visit Settings > Subscription. If you're running low, consider removing old attachments you no longer need.
