Add Documents the AI Helper Can Search
What It Is
Add your shop's own information so the AI helper can look it up: pricing, service area, rules, supplier notes, property-manager rates. The helper checks here first and quotes the relevant part; if not here, it uses your live shop data.
Where and What
Go to Settings > AI and scroll to the Documents card. The card above it is the shop-wide AI permission switch, which has to be on before the helper can search anything here. See Turn On AI Features for Your Shop. Only owners and managers can manage it. Upload a text file or paste text in. Supported types are .txt, .md, .csv, .json, up to 5 MB each. PDF and Word are not supported yet (PDF coming soon). For a PDF or Word doc, copy the text out and use Paste text, or save it as a .txt first.
Uploading a File
- Tap Upload a file and pick a .txt, .md, .csv, or .json file.
It processes in the background: a Processing tag shows, then a green Ready, usually within a minute.
Pasting Text Instead
- Tap Paste text, add a short Title (this is what the helper cites), paste the Content, and tap Save.
Tap Insert example for a sample. Good things to add: pricing, service area, surcharges and discounts, supplier notes, property-manager rates.
Updating or Removing
When something changes, add the new version and tap the trash-can icon to delete the old one; it is removed right away. If a document shows a red Failed tag, tap the round-arrow icon to try again; if it keeps failing, the file is probably not a supported text type, so use Paste text.
Privacy
Your knowledge base is private to your shop. Only passages relevant to a question are sent to the AI provider, and your documents are never used to train any model.
