Connect Stripe Payments
Getting Paid Starts Here
Stripe is how your customers pay you through KeyBolt. Connecting your Stripe account is a one-time setup that takes about five minutes. Once connected, every invoice you send includes a secure payment link that deposits money directly into your bank account.
Setting Up During Onboarding
When you first sign up for KeyBolt, the onboarding wizard walks you through connecting Stripe in Step 4: Payments. Tap "Connect Stripe" and a new tab will open with Stripe's secure setup page. Complete the following steps there:
- Enter your business information (legal name, EIN or SSN, business type).
- Provide your bank account details for receiving payouts.
- Verify your identity with a government-issued ID.
Once you've completed the Stripe setup, return to KeyBolt and click "I've Finished Setup" to confirm the connection. Stripe verifies your info (usually instant, sometimes up to 24 hours), and then your account is live and ready to accept payments.
Setting Up from Settings
If you skipped Stripe setup during onboarding, you can connect anytime:
- Go to Settings > Payments.
- Tap "Connect Stripe".
- A new tab opens with the Stripe Connect onboarding flow. Complete the steps and return to KeyBolt.
- KeyBolt checks your connection status automatically. Once verified, you'll see a green "Connected" badge.
How Money Flows
- You send an invoice from KeyBolt.
- Customer pays via the Stripe-hosted payment page.
- Stripe processes the payment and deposits funds into your bank account (typically 2 business days).
- Stripe deducts its processing fee (2.9% + 30 cents) before the deposit.
- KeyBolt takes no cut of your payments. Your $59/month subscription is your only cost.
